Communicat’s managed Backup and Disaster Recovery module provides real-time automated disk backup, disk imaging, file level backup and bare-metal restore for Windows servers and workstations.

a) Onsite Backup PC with a tape drive connected for offsite storage.

This solution basically involves a backup PC connected to your network infrastructure (depending on the number of servers you have as this solution is not for everyone.) Basically an image is taken of all your servers and transferred to your backup server / PC. Once an image is created then these images are copied onto a tape which is then taken offsite.  This type  of backup provides an effective restore procedure in case of disaster where your backup PC can be used to restore the images saved on the PC rather than using tape.

b) Offsite Replication.

Offsite Replication ensures that image and folder backups are immediately and automatically transferred and stored safely away from your servers or business location. This process is completely automated and eliminates the need for a person to remember to take backup media, such as tapes, home or drop them off at a location for storage.
